Out of Towners

We know that many of our guests do not live in Austin, and so we planned an afternoon wedding to allow some to come and return home in the same day.

However, for those who do wish to stay, I have reserved a block of 20 hotel rooms in the DoubleTree Club hotel located at 1617 IH-35 North (about 5 blocks east of the church). The phone number for the hotel is 512-479-4000. Just ask about the Stevens wedding arrangements.

The standard room features one king or two double beds in smoking or non-smoking. They also include Free High Speed Internet, 2 phones, voicemail, coffee makers, iron and ironing boards, and in-room movies.

The blocked rates should allow between 1-4 guests to stay in a room for the flat rate of $99 per night. Guests willl have the option for staying Friday and/or Saturday night.

Check-in begins at 3 p.m. and check-out is at noon. Free outdoor parking is available. For a list of available services, check the hotel Web site.

Directions to the Hotel

Coming From the South: Take I-35 N exit 235A MLK/15th Street and go one block past 15th Street. The Hotel will be on your right before you get to the light at MLK.

Coming From the South: Take I-35 S exit 235A MLK/15th Street. Continue on to 15t Street. Take the left uturn under the highway at 15th Street. The hotel will be up one block on the right hand side of the access road across the Interstate from the round Frank Erwin Center.
